Cape Cricket operates from the historic town of Paarl in the heart of the Winelands Region of South Africa, just over half an hour’s drive from the magnificent city of Cape Town.

Cricketers on the Academy or GAP Volunteer programme are based in Paarl which provides easy access to the Western Cape.

The Western Cape is a province of diversities. It offers the visitors and residents a unique cultural and natural heritage, a rural easy-going atmosphere coupled with a first world infrastructure. Paarl:

Paarl is the third oldest European Settlement in South Africa. Today it is home to a very culturally diverse community, the product of its unique history. The town is made up of superb examples of Cape Dutch, Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco architecture. Situated in a valley, one side of which are the formidable Drakenstein mountains, on the other is the backdrop of Paarl Rock, a massive granite outcrop. The area and the whole Winelands region is a place of exceptional beauty with plenty to see and do for cricketers planning on a long or brief stay.

Cape Town:

The truly stunning City of Cape Town is a must visit destination for any world traveller. The city is vibrant and modern with a developed infrastructure, yet holds any number of historic and natural attractions.

CapeCricket provides an ideal base to visit and get to know some of the attractions of the city which number amongst them: Table Mountain, Robben Island, The Cape of Good Hope, The Victoria & Albert Waterfront, Long Street and some of the world’s most stunning beaches where apart from kite surfers you may see whales, penguins and dolphins.

Sporting:

The Boland Bank Park first class cricket venue is located in Paarl. Of course not far away in Cape Town, under the shadow of Table Mountain lies the Newlands Cricket Ground. If you are visiting CapeCricket at the beginning or end or the summer you will also have an opportunity to see matches at the famous Newlands Rugby Stadium.
